Vehemence of the Siren Queen by Purplieh Vehemence of the Siren Queen by Purplieh
MADE 29 Aug - 9 Oct 2010, watercolours, 24 x 32 cm 224 g/m2
NAME Vehemence (of the Siren Queen)

Siren Queen.

Their passion, radiance and strenght is so beautiful
So dangerous, still so irresistible
Children of Sky, today, we will be free!

I started this just before my trip to Marseille and thanks to this I only slept 3 hours the night before the trip. What can you do, I was inspired... I had to stop because I hadn't any good colours to colour this. I still haven't found art supplies shop anywhere here -__- All the French Internet shops seem to sell only expensive professional watercolours.

In the end I found cheap children's watercolours from the supermarket which had the colours I wanted, I was suprised how intensive colour was ^^.

I felt like drawing wings (again) and I practised perspective a bit... it's not very good but I like the sky and feeling. When I saw this on the computer screen I realized that the shadings should have been stronger. I kind of forgot I was going to add that energy ball.

I really should practise shading and dare to do it stronger since I'm often rather careful with it... Also, my perspective skills need serious training.

Otherwise I like how this turned out :3

I really like the perspective on this. Its really cool. I always use cheap watercolours, haha, but sometimes you can get some good results from them. And since they're so cheap I never worry about wasting them. ^^

Thanks! ^-^ Yeah, me too, then I can buy many and just waste them, like you said :D They're good for learning and I know that if I some day buy expensive ones I have to get more and more of them and then cheap ones will not be enough anymore.... But yeah, some cheap ones can be suprisingly good :)
